SEO for small businesses,
curated to your trade.
Being online is not the same as being found. SEO is the work that puts your business in front of people who are already searching for what you do, in the place you do it. I fix what is stopping search engines from reading your site, build a plan around your trade and your area, and keep at it if you want me to.
The short version. Technical audits and fixes, a curated search plan made for your business, and Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools set up and looked after. Quoted as a project, or as monthly care.
What I do
- Technical SEO audits. I go through your site the way a search engine does: what it can crawl and what it cannot, redirects, broken pages, duplicate addresses, speed on a phone, and the structured data that describes your business. You get a plain list of what is wrong and what fixing it involves.
- A curated search plan. I look at what your customers actually type when they need what you sell, and shape your pages and your wording around those searches. A plumber in one town and a bakery in another need different plans, so nobody gets a template.
- Google Search Console, set up and managed. Search Console is where Google tells a site owner what it found, what it could not read, and which searches brought people in. I set it up, verify the site, submit the sitemap and act on what it reports.
- Bing Webmaster Tools, set up and managed. Bing results also feed other search services, so it gets the same care: set up, verified, sitemap submitted, problems fixed.
- On page work. Titles, descriptions, headings and internal links written for the searches that matter to your business.
- Monthly search reporting. As part of ongoing care: which searches you showed up for, how often people saw you, and how often they clicked through.
What I will not promise
Nobody can promise you a ranking position. Google does not sell them and does not tell anyone exactly how it decides, so anyone who guarantees you the top spot is guessing or lying. What I can promise is that the work gets done properly, and that you see the numbers for yourself.
What is not included
I do not manage Google Business Profiles, the listing with your hours, reviews and map pin. That stays in your hands. Your website, Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are mine to look after.
How pricing works
An audit or a one off round of fixes is quoted as a project. Ongoing search work, including the monthly report, is quoted as part of ongoing care. Either way you see the number before any work starts.
Common questions
How long does SEO take to work?
Longer than most people selling it like to admit. A new site can take a while before Google shows it for much at all, and competitive searches take longer still. The monthly report shows the progress as it happens, so you are never left guessing.
Will I be on the first page of Google?
That depends on what you sell, where, and who else is competing for the same searches. I will tell you honestly which searches are realistic for your business and which are not.
Can you do SEO on a site you did not build?
Yes. An audit works on any site, and I will tell you which fixes need access to it.
See it in practice
Both sites in my selected work were built with search in mind from the first page: H-Town Auto Buyers and Richie's Pool & Patio.
