The job
Pool service is sold on trust and on results you can see. The site needed to show real work from real backyards, make it obvious what the weekly price includes, and make asking for an estimate easy from a phone.
What I built
- A homepage that tells a story. A week of real work in four chapters, the pool, the driveway, the pool deck and the screen room, each with its before and after photos side by side.
- Water that moves. The top of the page is a real pool photo, rippling live in the browser.
- Everything a customer checks before calling. What weekly service includes, a gallery of finished jobs, the referral offer, pages for the towns it serves, guides, and common questions marked up so Google can show them.
- Light and dark. A light and a dark version of the whole site, with a switch in the header.
Behind the scenes
- Estimates by text. Every estimate request is texted to the owner and saved in an admin panel, with daily and monthly limits so a wave of spam can never run up the bill.
- Search. Its own domain, structured data, a sitemap, and new pages announced to Bing through IndexNow.
- Hosting. Runs on my own servers behind Cloudflare, with the security headers set properly.
Built with
Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, three.js for the water, Prisma and SQLite, served by nginx behind Cloudflare.
