What I collect,
and what I do not.
This is short because there is not much to tell. This site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no marketing list. The only information I hold about you is what you type into the inquiry form, and I keep it so I can answer you.
The short version. Browsing this site tells me nothing about you. Sending an inquiry tells me your name, how you want to be reached and what you need. I use that to reply and for nothing else. Ask me to delete it and I will.

1. Who you are dealing with
Rest Services is a one person business. I build and look after websites for small businesses. When this policy says "I" or "me" it means Rest Services, and when it says "you" it means whoever is reading the site or sending an inquiry.
You can reach me at rest@rest.ac about anything on this page.
2. When you are just reading the site
Reading this site does not create a record of you with me. There is no analytics script, no advertising tag, no session recording and no pixel from anybody. I do not know who visited, what they read or how long they stayed.
The web server keeps ordinary access logs, which is how every web server works. Those logs contain the address that made the request, the page requested, the time and the browser description your browser sends. I use them to keep the site running and to see when something is broken or being attacked. I do not use them to build a picture of you.
3. What gets stored in your browser
This site sets no cookies. Not one.
It does store a single value in your browser, called rs-theme, and only if
you press the light and dark toggle. It remembers whether you chose light or dark so the
site does not flip back on you next visit. It stays on your device, it is never sent to
me, and clearing your browser data removes it. If you never touch the toggle, nothing is
stored at all and the site simply follows whatever your device already prefers.
4. When you send an inquiry
The form at rest.ac/contact is the only place this site asks you for anything. When you submit it I receive:
- Your name, so I know who I am writing back to.
- How you want to be reached, being email, phone, text or Discord.
- The address or number or username for that method, so I can actually reach you.
- Your business name, if you give one.
- Your current website, if you give one.
- What you need, chosen from the list on the form.
- Your message, if you write one.
Two more things are recorded automatically with each submission: the network address the form was sent from, and the time it arrived. Those exist so I can rate limit the form and block whoever floods it. They are not used for anything else.
There is also an invisible field on the form that people never see and never fill in. Automated spam tends to fill it in, which is how I discard it. If you are a person you will never notice it.
5. Why I hold it
To reply to you, and to work out whether I can help. That is the whole purpose. I do not add you to a mailing list, I do not send follow up sequences, and I do not contact you about anything other than the inquiry you sent.
6. Where it goes
Your inquiry is written to a file on my own server, and a copy is posted into a private Discord channel that only I can read. That notification is how I see a new inquiry quickly rather than leaving you waiting.
It is written to my server first and sent to Discord second, on purpose. If Discord is down or the connection fails, your message is still safely recorded rather than lost, and you still get a confirmation rather than a silent failure.
It goes nowhere else. I do not sell it, rent it, share it with partners, feed it to an advertising network or hand it to anybody for their own use. If a court or the law required me to hand something over I would have to comply, but that has never happened.
7. Other companies involved
I would rather tell you this plainly than pretend the site runs in a vacuum. One company sees something when you load a page here.
- Cloudflare sits in front of this site and passes traffic through to my server. That means Cloudflare sees the address of everyone who loads the site. It is there to absorb attacks and to serve pages quickly.
Cloudflare is not told anything about you by me. The typefaces and the code that draws the moving background are served from this site itself, so no font or code company sees your visit. Discord is the only other company involved, and it only ever sees an inquiry you chose to send.
8. How long I keep it
Inquiries stay until I have no reason to keep them. If we end up working together, the inquiry becomes part of the ordinary record of our work and I keep it while you are a client. If we do not, I clear it out once the conversation is clearly over.
Server access logs rotate and age out on their own, as they do on any server.
9. Getting a copy or getting it deleted
Email me at rest@rest.ac and ask. You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct something, or ask me to delete it. I will do it and tell you when it is done. You do not need to give a reason and there is no form to fill in.
The only thing I may keep after a deletion request is whatever I genuinely have to, such as a record of a payment for tax purposes if you were a paying client.
10. Keeping it safe
The site is served over an encrypted connection. The form posts to my own server rather than to a third party form service. The key that lets my server post into Discord lives on the server with restricted permissions and is never sent to your browser, which means nobody can read it out of the page and abuse it.
I am not going to claim this is unbreakable, because nobody can honestly claim that about anything connected to the internet. What I can say is that the information here is small, it is not a valuable target, and it is not scattered across a dozen services.
11. Children
This is a service for businesses. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent me something, email me and I will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If I change how any of this works I will update this page and change the date at the top. I am not going to quietly start collecting more and leave the old wording up. If a change is significant and you are a client, I will tell you directly rather than expect you to notice.
13. Asking me about any of this
Email rest@rest.ac. A real person reads it, because there is only one of us.
